Sal Rossano is an Army Veteran with 29 years of service and recently retired. He initially started his career as an infantry paratrooper and later became a US Army Special Forces Medical Sergeant (Green Beret).  Sal was a qualified military mountaineer, completing both the basic and advanced winter phases, and the basic mountaineering course. He is a qualified sniper and firearms instructor. Sal has completed multiple military schools during his time. As the senior sergeant he was promoted to the operations sergeant, otherwise known as the Team Sergeant.     

Sal earned a BA from the University of Maryland in Economics, a BS from Western Carolina University in Emergency Medicine and most recently graduated from the prestigious University of Utah’s Physician Assistant Program earning a Masters degree. One of his passions is passing on the knowledge he has gained in his career. As a result he has been requested around the country to teach tactical/ wilderness medicine to a variety or organizations; from police departments to kids in a karate class. 

Sal is a best-selling co-author of “The Ultimate Travel Safety Program” and soon to be released “Is It Clear for Medical?” Sal is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys camping, hunting, hiking and exploring.
